The Youth Cricket Academy which is based in the friendly city of Port Elizabeth was founded by Glenn Bester in 2001
With a life-long passion for cricket Glenn provides proffesionaly managed and maintained cricket facilty where children can both learn and play the game in a friendly and holistically beneficial manner, affording children the opportuninity to get taught cricket professionally
The Youth Cricket Academy's aim is to improve all the young cricketers that attend, giving them the skills, harnessing their talents and building their self-confidence so they will not only start enjoying cricket but start excelling at it.
The Academy boasts 2 cricket fields,8 concrete nets and 6 grass nets.
All the coaches have more than the necessary credentials, and patience, to coach at the Youth Cricket Academy (at least a Level 2 coaching certificate). Many of our coaches have spent time coaching and playing cricket overseas, and their wealth of experience will shine through the players!
The coaches are young and still playing top club, or provincial cricket, and therefore are able to instill their own keenness for the game into the cricketers they coach. Each group or individual will have the same coach for each lesson during a term for as far as possible, but should their coach not be able to make a lesson, a suitable replacement will coach the group or individual for that lesson.
